Filming begins with the 2027 missions. Until an episode exists, its card says so rather than offering a play button that does nothing.
Season 01
Southeast Asia
The Trade That Was Already There
Vietnam is formalising its waste system while an established informal recovery trade is still doing much of the work. The first episode follows the material, and the people who move it, through both systems at once.
What Keeps a Waste Bank Open
The bank sampah model has been copied around the world. This episode looks for the ones that closed, and asks the people who ran them what actually went wrong.
Capacity
When global scrap trade routes shifted in 2018, Malaysia acquired a great deal of plastic processing very quickly. What was built, what closed, and what is actually running now.
In Season
A city whose waste load rises and falls with the tourist year, and the organic material that has to be dealt with either way.
Nowhere To Put It
A system engineered around the absence of land, from the household chute to the ash on an offshore island. What the constraint produced, and what it cost.

How filming works
Nothing is filmed without permission from the operator, agreed in advance and confirmed on site. Nobody is filmed without their consent, recorded at the time. If consent is withdrawn later, the material comes down.
Every published episode carries a transcript, the sources used, and the case studies it draws on, so a viewer can check the claims rather than take them on trust.
Interested in being filmed?
Facilities willing to be documented are the hardest thing to arrange and the most valuable. If your organization would consider it, the research visit form has a question about exactly that, and saying no to filming does not affect anything else.
